Syncing Data in Real-Time over Wireless Networks

Recorded on October 21st 2010, this webinar is divided into two parts and instructs users how to set up a real time data exchange between a mobile device and back end database by using TracerPlus Wireless Server.

Syncing Data in Real-Time Over Wireless Networks - PART 1

In part one of this demo, we introduce a new free election polling application that is now available on our TracerPlus Solution Center. Using this application as an example, we quickly convert it to wireless capable with our TracerPlus Desktop form designer. Then we match up the data fields on that mobile form with a MySQL database by mapping a one to one relationship using TracerPlus Wireless Server.

Syncing Data in Real-Time Over Wireless Networks - PART 2

Part 2 of this Demo begins with the deployment of the mobile application to the Windows Mobile device. This is followed by entering sample data and then seeing this data instantly transferred to the database. For this demo, we prepared a web page in order to display this information updating automatically. We finish the demo by showing the difference between online and offline mode which switches to batch data collection.
